About Linda Brooks
A Political Analyst and Satirist
— a native Floridian; moreover, educated in Florida at Santa Fe CC in Gainesville and FAU in Boca Raton. I think like Thomas Paine, one of our Founding Fathers who wrote “Working for a Common Sense Government.” Like Paine, I recognize that the original intent of the Founding Fathers and the US Constitution was to create s government to serve our people but not to encumber them; keep the government minimal so that the benefits of labor and the blessings of our country would be enjoyed by the people making prosperity theirs.
Born in Miami, my husband and I lived in Melrose, Florida, just outside of Gainesville, for about twenty-five years before moving back to South Florida to work with my father. I returned to North Florida in 2018 after my husband’s and father’s death. I have two children, married with six grandchildren and one great grandchild. I and my husband, who was a builder here in Florida with a State General Contractors License, managed our own business for thirty years as investment residential property owners. During those years, I acquired Certificates from the Institute of Real Estate Management that covers both real estate as an investment as well as property management. We did very well , even surviving the Hidden Depression that followed the Vietnam War, though my husband and his family closed their Home Building Company.
I am a Christian and a conservative, and have served the Lord since 1994 as a University Angel; better understood as a prophetess and police angel as well as serving elsewhere as needed including a visiting Angel to Washington DC beginning at the end of President George H. Bush’s Presidency and then his son’s Presidency George W. Bush but particularly supporting and protecting President Donald Trump and his lovely Melania at a time when the country seemed in chaos especially considering the impeachments, the Pandemic from China and the accusations of Election fruad in the 2020 Presidential Election. As 2021 began and President Trump left the White House, I decided that it would be better if I took to neutral ground and so I registered as an Independant voter; our Constitution does not require Parties if the people don’t want them. At present, fifty percent (50%) of all American voters are registered as Independants or a non-affiliate.
Beginning in 1994, I went back to school attending at Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, Florida. Initially an Accounting major, I transferred over to Political Science, attracted to political analysis, acquiring my AA degree in 1998. I was briefly enrolled at UF before dropping out to go South with my husband. At Boca Raton I enrolled in 2000 at FAU where I acquired a BA in Political Science (2007). My academic emphasis includes Economics, Middle East Politics, Holocaust and International Systems adding an 18 hour Certificate in Jewish Civilization and Holocaust(2010); then back to the University of Florida in 2018 to work on a second Holocaust Certificate this time with an emphasis on the Nazi perspective under the leadership of Professor Norman Goda at the Center for Jewish Studies UF Department of History. On my web site, at linda-brooks.com , I publish short political and policy papers with relevant attachments that are loaded with Current Events. I enjoy a writing style that is pragmatic and down to earth and very American and like Paine I sometimes the Activist and I still back Trump all the way: I have never in my entire life seen a President attacked like he was by the US Congress; it reminded me of the Cultural Revolution that occurred in Communist China. Therefore, yes, I'm a Trumpet.
At the conclusion of the Year I intend to bind the Essays in either an annual or Quarterly book to offer to the public; if your interested contact me thru my email politicsandotheranomalies@gmail.com.
