The Park
This is the park between the National Monument and the Rear of the White House. It was open on Monday when I was there; but the next day completely closed off. So on the back and the front the distance to the White House is greater than before. For instance, Lafeyette Park is now encapsulated with the front of the White House. I was staying at The Willard
Check Point Guard House into the Park
You will notice the trees at the back of the White House completely cover the view growing all the way to the ground.
Area at the base of the National Monument
The closer one was to the White House the more people there were. When I was there last November, there was practically no-one on the Mall.
